The name STAX is a play on their flavorful “World Cuisine” concept, with dishes created from stacked layers of complementary foods instead of entrees with side dishes.   The restaurant was renovated before opening & their concept is about the food, but it’s also about the décor. 

They offer indoor dining with tables separated by sweeps of billowing white cloth from the ceiling and an outdoor patio that is wonderful.  One of many favorite entrees on the menu is a braised, pulled-pork cooked with Mexican red chili barbecue sauce served over corn pudding with a red bell pepper sour crema.
